Señora Betty is one of the members of the communal bank Av. Del Ejército, which meets twice a month in the city of Portoviejo. Señora Betty, 54, has a business as a street vendor selling fast food, such as hot dogs, hamburgers, and salchipapas, from her car with her children and her husband. She has already been working 15 years and it has gone well for her. The idea to start this business came from her husband, and they have not regretted it, because things are better every day. One day Señora Betty’s husband decided to buy a vehicle that could accommodate a sort of bar and start the business. They have been married 40 years, and they have always wanted to keep the family together. They have known how to work hard, and they also have a mobile disco manned by one of their sons and a nephew who take it out to the festivals.

With this new loan, Señora Betty will be able to supply her business with everything necessary to continue to get around with her sales. Since several festivals in different areas of the province are coming, she will be able to move her vehicle around to make sales.
